ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Pamela Tahim Thakur focuses her practice on representing and counseling employers in a broad range of business, labor and employment law matters. Her litigation experience includes defending against class action and individual claims for wage and hour violations, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and trade secret misappropriation. She also represents employers against claims of breach contract, defamation, and unfair business practices. She handles both single-plaintiff litigation and class actions in state and federal courts and has appeared before administration agencies.
She has experience effectively handling matters in jury trials, bench trials, arbitration, mediation, administration hearings, and before the appellate court. She is licensed and experienced in both Federal and State Courts in California. For 2017-2019, she was selected by her peers as a "Rising Star" for Super Lawyers in Litigation.
In addition to her litigation work, Ms. Thakur advises businesses and corporate clients on a whole array of employment policies, including in preparing and updating employment policies, drafting employee handbooks in compliance with the latest changes in state and federal employment laws, as well as assisting in disciplining and terminating employees and complying with leave and disability rules. Ms. Thakur also provides seminars for employers on best practices compliance and to assure compliance with California's mandatory supervisor employee harassment training requirements.
She is an active member of legal community and non-profit community. Pamela Tahim Thakur graduated with a J.D. and LLM in Taxation from the University of San Diego, School of Law in 2005 and obtained her B.A. in Political Science and Minor in Spanish at the University of California at Los Angeles in 2001.
Thakur Law Firm, APC has been selected as the preferred law firm for the members of Riverside County Medical Association and San Bernardino Medical Society. Ms. Thakur regularly provides lectures to the members of these medical associations on legal compliance and best practices.
