IN THIS SESSION YOU WILL LEARN TO:
From Hugh’s many years of experience in the African wilderness he has learned that the wisdom of nature is profound. The more we observe nature, the more we realize how much we still have to learn.
During the pandemic, he has worked extensively with people in every walk of life from first responders to business leaders. From this experience, he has identified six essential characteristics of those who have most successfully navigated these extremely difficult times.
Using wildlife photos and anecdotes in this engaging 20 minute talk, he shares how wildlife and nature illustrate these behaviors from which we can learn so much.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Hugh Coppen is Founder and CEO of Tasimba LLC. Tasimba operates unique, curated safaris for guests who want an expertly-led, deep immersion in a life-changing experience in a vast African wilderness teeming with wildlife.
Hugh grew up in Zimbabwe and graduated from the University of Cape Town. Although he has lived and worked in Canada and the US for the past 40+ years, he has always maintained strong personal roots in Africa. Passionate about the wilderness and wildlife, his lifelong experience on hundreds of safaris led him to create Tasimba by selecting the very best attributes of other safari offerings.
Hugh has more than forty years’ leadership experience across a wide range of international businesses. He has been CEO of three different private and public companies, and has held executive roles in manufacturing, marketing, strategic development and management consulting in consumer packaged goods, energy, brewing and entertainment industries. When he is not in Africa, he is an executive coach and leadership expert working with CEOs and their teams globally.
His twin passions for leadership and the African wilderness are bound together by one common purpose: to help people be the very best they can be personally and in their roles in the community and in their chosen occupation.
