ABOUT THE SESSION:
Learning something new from every day on safari, Hugh has found that the wilderness, nature and wildlife present an incomparable environment for self-discovery and fresh perspectives on our lives and on what’s really important to us.
In this presentation, he shares fascinating insights gained from a lifetime of safaris in his African homeland. Using examples drawn from the wild, he shows how inspiration leads to our purpose and to the creation of beneficial impact for others, the cornerstone of what he calls “Keystone Leadership”.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Hugh Coppen grew up in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia) and graduated from the University of Cape Town. Throughout his life, he has experienced literally hundreds of safaris in vehicles, on foot, in boats, paddling canoes and even on horseback.
In his professional career, he has lived and worked in the US, Canada and Europe and rose to become CEO of three different companies. For the last 20 years, from his home base in San Francisco, he has focused on leadership development and executive coaching with clients in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and Africa.
Through Tasimba, a company he founded in 2015, he combines his twin passions for the wilderness and for leadership by personally leading guests on deeply immersive, experiential safaris in a vast, private wilderness.
