Carie serves as Dean of Health Sciences at Shasta College, where she leverages 18 years of teaching experience and a diverse healthcare background to prepare the next generation of medical professionals. With a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership, Carie combines clinical expertise with educational innovation. Over her 9+ years in post-secondary education, she has developed workforce partnerships, competency-based pathways, and prior learning assessment programs that bridge the gap between healthcare employers and aspiring medical assistants. She specializes in creating accessible certification pathways and removing barriers to healthcare education, building sustainable workforce pipelines across her tri-county district.
